Royal Order of Watchtowers

In the Winter of 2003-2004, a awesome occurance began to take place within the Kingdom of Storms. One by one, in the four polar coordinates, towers that had long been forgotten began to re-awaken. As the memories of Kithain recalled that these protective Towers used to be lookout points to help guard the Kingdom from attackers, the strength of the Towers increased substantially.

Eventually, the Centeral Tower appeared and in a massive outburst of glamour, the 5 Towers inter-linked, forming a protective shield over the Kingdom. As a method of security and upkeep over these great Towers, a Royal Order of Watchtower Sentinels was established.

The Watchers of each Tower, one for the North, South, East, West and Central, are responsible for the maintenance of this military outposts and the soldiers garrisoned there. It is their duty to monitor activities and trainingof the various units underneath their command. This Knightly Order is sponsered and endorsed by the Crown Princess Lolly Kilrain-al'Maudeen.

The Order of the Silver Oak originally comprised those individuals who marched against the Fomorians in the Battle of Boston. Fighters amassed from across Concordia in what became the first widespread military effort after the death of David Ardry drawing support from several Kingdoms, shore to shore.

As recognition of those who participated in the battle, the Order of the Silver Oak was formed. Its icon was chosen for symbolic meaning. Silver is often a metal associated with peace and sincerity, the great white Oak is known for protection, fertility and medicinal properties.

The Kithain that wear this honour have put forth their very lives, skills and knowledge against the enemies of Concordia. They work with solidarity toward the return of Spring and the Cycle of Seasons. Despite their many differences, they find unity in the ongoing effort to provide a place where all are free to live.

    Brotherhood of the Sceptre

"Listen my brethren, and I will tell you of our Order’s origins."

Not long ago as you know, the Kingdom of Storms seceded from the Kingdom of Pacifica, bringing with it terrible storms that raged across the land. It was foretold by King Davain’s mystics and scholars that he must quest for, and retrieve the Nunnehi Treasure known as the Scepter of Storms. With this he could truly be King and push back the tide of storms that ravaged the land.

It was also foretold that the King must chose 6 of the greatest Knight’s in the land, one from each of the houses, to quest for the Treasures of Talon the Brave. It was these treasures that would allow him to reach the Scepter and bring it home.

So the King held a great tourney, searching for the greatest Knights in the land. Knights from all over the Kingdom met in the lists to prove their worth and prowess. The tourney lasted one week. At the end, six Knights, one from each house, remained.

The Brotherhood of the Scepter was formed after the great quest to retrieve the Scepter of Storms from the dreaming, and bring peace to a land devastated by great storms.

Their purpose….to protect the crown, the kingdom, the Scepter, each other, and to keep the Treasures of Talon from falling into the wrong hands or under the control of one person.

One knight from each house would carry one treasure. This treasure would symbolize them as the Inner Circle of the order and the Oaths they had taken. When they no longer wished to be bound by this responsibility, or could no longer fulfill their chosen duty as the head of their branch of the order, the Treasure would be passed on to a chosen successor to take his place.

In recent years however, the Order has been left to shambles and unsupervised by the reigning monarch. Almost all that remains are the memories of those who once upheld their duty with honour.

    Order of Moonfall

    Origins

This order is dedicated to the pursuit of divination in all its forms and was made up exclusively of Eiluned Sidhe until recently. The order has been consulted by Kings, as well as good many would-be-revolutionaries, for indications of what direction a given course of action will point them in. Although the order guarantees confidentiality in all matters, the price it exacts for its services is often high. Boons (“to be specified at a future date”), objects of power and oaths are included as part of the price. In the past 5 years, however, members of other Kiths and Houses have been admitted into this fellowship, due to the frequency of the order’s activities and the necessity to cross the line between Seelie, Unseelie, Kith and beyond.

History in the Kingdom of Storms

The Order of Moonfall is rumored to have played a major part in the Succession of the Kingdom of Storms from the Kingdom of Pacifica. It is said that Duke Davain (soon to be the new King) consulted the Order before going to the nobles with his intention to succeed. It is also known that the new King Davain went to the Order when the Storms ravaged the Kingdom and that it was they who told him of the great Scepter of Storms and of how to end the disasters sweeping the land.

As payment for this aid, the Order extracted the price of the ability to discipline their own. By Royal decree, they would not be held accountable for their actions to the nobles in the land. Accounting for breaking the Orders tenements, breaking the Escheat or the Laws of the Kingdom would now come from the order itself and the reigning Monarch. This decree would come to be called the “Proclamation of Omens”.
